Gomi Games began as a few MIT students teamed up for a game development project class led by instructors Sara Verrilli and Rik Eberhardt. Out of our initial exploration came a prototype for a shoot-to-move platformer: RE:Charge. After the success of our project in class, we decided to continue development independently and submitted our game to Boston FIG under the student category. To our surprise we won Best Student Game.
We later submitted to The Game Awards under the student category, and were nominated for best student game, allowing us to fly to LA and watch TGAs live.
By now we've all graduated and moved onto our own jobs out in the real world, but in our off-time, Daniel, Sophie, and Carolyn have been continuing development to try to finally get RE:Charge out into the world and playable. After a long 3 years of off and on work, RE:Charge is finally here for you to play! We hope you enjoy.
